I am very much into women who are doing their own thing in food. I like to see ladies write their own rules (if any at all). And I’m excited (and proud) when a woman in food makes her dreams real.
It’s hard to make food dreams real. There aren’t a lot of guidebooks to how to make money in the food industry. There are many antiquated models, some of them just don’t work anymore. The new ways come from women who have made it and I’m interviewing three such women next week.
On Monday, October 1, Leigh Belanger (my co-founder of The Fresh Collective) and I will moderate a panel with James Beard Award-Winning chef and cookbook author Akunowicz; cookbook author and New York Times contributor Colu Henry, and America’s Test Kitchen cast member and food stylist Elle Simone Scott.
